101 in 1001 - 2009

 

   LIFE STUFF/MISCELLANEOUS

  1. Buy car
  2. Get promoted
  3. Investigate getting 2-bedroom apt
  4. Get a dog
  5. Get a library card for the Torrance library.
  6. Finish Anna's list!
  7. Go on a date
  8. Make a new list at the end of 1001 days!
  9. Get license

    FINANCIAL

  1. Get out of debt
  2. Get a will
  3. Complete Love Drawer
  4. Get renter's insurance
  5. Give at least $100 to church each month.
  6. Retake FPU
  7. Do not buy anything from Bath & Body Works until I use what I have!
  8. Get debt total to under $30K by 12/31/09.
  9. Make a debt thermometer.
  10. Get the eating out down to a consistent once or twice a week. Less is good too.
  11. Get loan balance down to $20K by end of 2010

    ORGANIZING/HOUSEHOLD

  1. Weed boxes in garage
  2. Declutter media cabinet in bedroom
  3. Declutter kitchen cabinets
  4. Make at least 3 trips to Goodwill
  5. Clean up clutter between bedroom door and media cabinet
  6. Clean up clutter next TV in living room
  7. Find places to hang this stack of pictures
  8. Learn to keep up after the kitchen!
  9. Go through all of my socks and match each pair up and throw away all those that don't have a mate.
  10. Weed through my other dresser drawer too....
  11. Declutter desk drawers.
  12. Shred old papers in accordion file.
  13. Shred mail in shred basket.
  14. Get rid of bedding that is the wrong size for my bed.
  15. Organize and weed stitching cabinet

   HEALTH/APPEARANCE

  1. Find doctor
  2. Join gym
  3. Complete 1 12-week BFL challenge
  4. Wear a smaller size than I do now
  5. Buy some ProActiv and use it until it is gone.
  6. Get a hair cut.
  7. Get all 10 of Tim Gunn's Top 10 basic wardrobe pieces.
  8. Hem pants (I know there's at least 3 pairs.)
  9. Get some other clothes professionally tailored.

    SPIRITUAL

  1. Subscribe to Tabletalk
  2. Do Tabletalk for a year
  3. Memorize the Heidelberg Catechism. (Hey, if the 4yos at church can do it, so can I!)
  4. Attend church at least 3 out of 4 Sundays. Bedside Baptist doesn't count!

    SOCIAL/FRIENDS

  1. Find another gift for Anna that she doesn't say "I told you not to get me anything!" (I've done it once, gonna try it again!)
  2. Have a dinner party at some time besides Christmas.
  3. Get in contact with Jaclyn

  5. Bake with Crystal once a month.

This was apparently started by Triplux. (If not, he's getting the most credit for it!) The rules are simple. Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on my part).
